Emergency order. Generalized institutional interest in historic preservation is not a concrete, particularized injury under Article III.
Standing is an original limit on judicial power. Aesthetic or institutional disagreement with how the Executive uses federal property does not automatically open the courthouse door.
Construction proceeds while the challenge continues. The decision tightens standing for organizational plaintiffs; it does not rewrite the underlying statutes.
Bottom line: Article III requires injury, not institutional concern. Remarkably not everything is a lawsuit. Go figure. Kudos to the Supremes for taking a rational point of view on things.
